Organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones in partnership with the International Air Sports Federation (FAI), the championship will be hosted in Boulevard City, Riyadh. The tournament will feature elite drone pilots from over 50 countries, competing at speeds of up to 350 km/h for a total prize pool exceeding SR 1 million ($266,530).

This marks the first championship of the 2025 Drone Racing World Cup series, a year-long competition with rounds held across leading drone racing nations. Titles will be awarded based on the top three performances throughout the year. Following Riyadh’s debut event, the series will continue in countries including South Korea, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden.
Saudi Arabia is hosting the championship for the first time, building on the momentum of the 2024 edition held in South Korea last October. Since its launch in 2016, the Drone Racing World Cup has captivated global audiences with its thrilling combination of high-speed competition and cutting-edge technology.
