Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, has launched two key initiatives aimed at promoting Islamic values and strengthening Dubai’s cultural and religious fabric.
On Sunday, Sheikh Hamdan announced the launch of the ‘Quran in Every Home’ campaign, an initiative designed to ensure that every household in Dubai has access to a copy of the Quran. This campaign aims to enhance religious awareness and foster a deeper connection to Islamic teachings within families. As part of the initiative, copies of the Quran will be distributed at several mosques across the city, with a particular focus on locations that receive large numbers of worshippers. Families are encouraged to engage with the Quran, especially during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, which begins in seven weeks.
In addition, Sheikh Hamdan introduced the second season of the ‘Muezzin Al Freij’ initiative, which highlights the role of families in nurturing a strong sense of national identity and Islamic values among younger generations. The program will focus on empowering communities to actively participate in preserving and promoting traditions such as the call to prayer, further enriching the cultural landscape of Dubai.
Both initiatives align with Dubai’s ongoing commitment to fostering a society rooted in faith, tradition, and shared values.
